RIGHT TO LIFE WALK
Wickenburg,
AZ : A big thank you for all the people who showed up in the
cold misty rain for the annual Life Walk Saturday. Again, the purpose of
our walk was to make people aware that abortion has been legal for 34
years with about 45 million babies lost. Because of the 1973 Roe v Wade
decision of the Supreme Court, women who have had abortions found that,
instead of solving the problem of an unplanned pregnancy, they faced the
emotional devastation experienced after the abortion. Eventually, these
women and their families realize that they have lost a real member of
their immediate family and future generations will never realize the
benefits these absent members of society might have provided.
Contributions to science that might have been made, cures for diseases
that might have been discovered, great leaders who were never allowed
the gift of life---all these and more are forever lost to society.
Our speaker George E. Pfautsch spoke about our national morality and how
a dismissal of belief in God led to the Roe v. Wade decision. He
emphasized that the Supreme Court never did reach a decision concerning
the moment life begins....just that they were unable to make that
decision, and so, because of a "right to privacy," decided to eliminate
the "right to life." of each human being. thus the God-given "right to
life" was now a matter for others to decide, and an innocent life, if
"inconvenient, "could now be terminated. the result was a devaluation
of not only individual life, but the sanctity of the family, and the
dignity of woman who have experienced an abortion. As a result
families are weaker, not stronger.
