The Car & Driver Article (March 2007) is about a series of roundabouts into and near a mall. The normal mall traffic speeds would be 25 to 35 miles per hour with no semi-truck traffic. The highway 93 developer wanted roundabouts, would be on the major interstate with semi-trucks and traffic that had been traveling for two hours at 65 mph. The safest intersection is a raised overpass with merge lanes as stated by DPS officers on Highway 93. The developers do not want to pay for the safest interchange and maybe they want to put one big mall, from 89/93 interchange all the way to Wickenburg and roundabouts would then be a good idea. We can change the name of 93 to BELL ROAD.
